Logistics

Airport Information

Oakland International Airport (OAK): http://www.flyoakland.com/

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) train is the best way to get to and from the airport (http://www.flyoakland.com/bart_airbart.shtml).  From the airport terminal you can take an AirBART shuttle to the BART station at Coliseum/Oakland Airport.  The fare is $3 and is payable in cash (exact change only).  From there you can get on the Orange line towards Richmond, getting off at 12th St. Oakland City Center.  The train ride should take approximately 10 minutes.  See map and details on BART below.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO): http://www.flysfo.com/web/page/index.jspb

As with OAK, the BART train is the best way to get to-and-from SFO (http://www.flysfo.com/web/page/tofrom/transp-serv/pubtrans/). The SFO BART Station is located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of the International Terminal (Boarding Area G side) but is easily accessed from any terminal by riding SFO's (free) AirTrain to the Garage G/BART Station stop.  From there, get on the Yellow line towards Pittsburgh/Bay Point, getting off at 12th St. Oakland City Center.  This will take approximately 45 minutes.  See map and details on BART below.
